But Eridan, you really should work on how you ask people things! Although this wasn't as bad as it could have been I suppose! But saying please would go a long way, I think. And also asking more than ordering! That would also help.

But alright, you'we prowen to be useful to me before, so I'll ask you some things. Now, for all this gym business, is there any particular order I should be doin' this in, or does it not fuckin' matter at all where I start?

Has ordering any of us around ever worked for you? [ She sound legitimately curious about this. Aside from Equius, she's fairly certain none of them has ever really accommodated that. Well, she doesn't really care one way or the other if it happens to be something she was going to do anyway, but...that's not the same thing. ]

Well, Caligula is now a Seadra, an' I'we actually got a few powerful pokebeasts that were giwen to me as a gift, but I rather not use them if I don't hawe to, so they're in the PC. I'we got Wris' Joltik, which is now a Galwantula. A Quagsire, a Kingler, an' this insufferable Slowpoke, which I'we been debatin' just abandonin' it.

Well, I'd start at the beginning, then. I'm not sure your team is actually balanced enough to make it easy on you, so if you're looking into seriously doing gyms, you might want to raise or catch a few more!

Basically, the gyms start out easier and get harder, level-wise. And skill-wise, a bit. The first gym is a flying-type one, and while Galvantula is partly electric, it's also partly bug, so I wouldn't rely on it too much there...but water-types aren't particularly effective or ineffective, either. Electric, Ice, or Rock types are the most effective there.

Fuck balance, I know what's good, alright? And besides, water pokemon can learn ice moves, can't they? I should be fine! But I guess I will start at the beginnin' if that's the case. Seems a little dumb to go outta order, now that I think about it.

Anyway, so what type is each gym?

Well, yes, but still...You should let me give you a Lapras or something! And maybe a flying-type. And other types. Balance is good!!

Oh, let's see! Violet is flying, like I said, and then in order...Azalea is bugs, Goldenrod is normal, Ecruteak is ghost, Cianwood is fighting, Olivine is steel, Mahogany is Ice, and Blackthorn is Dragon. For Johto, at least. Is that where you're starting off?

I got a Lapras, that's one of the stronger ones I don't wanna rely on. An' balance is for idiots who don't know how to win with what they'we got for themselwes.

Yeah I'm startin' off in Johto. But look at that, none a them are particularly strong against water, so I should be fine!

Oh, I'd definitely prefer we not get into anything serious! I'm mostly teasing. [ "Mostly". It's not clear how much that covers, actually. Although really, even if explosions are cool she'd be sort of obligated to be involved if Sollux or Kanaya got into something and she doesn't actually want to be so. ]

But you really should at least get one or two pokemon to cover the type differences, you know? That's my main point.

Augh, why! If they're strong enough, the type disadwantage shouldn't ewen be a problem! Besides, there's been times in history where the odds were totally against the wictors, and they still came out on top with proper strategies an' the like. This ain't no different.

Well, that's true. I guess we've always had different styles of playing games, anyway - it's just that if you go up against a level 100 water type with a level 100 water type...the "strength" is the same, isn't it? So it's just a type advantage.
