uh well...that IS his name, is the thing.
it's a little strange but basically in his world, every child has a second set of parents to take care of them if their real ones don't/won't.
they are the other mother and the other father.
so basically he's everyone's dad if you ever need him!
ah well then...if you want to wait for kanaya to explain it to you since she's a girl and it's kind of a girl thing, that's fine.
it's nothing really terrible exactly, like you aren't going to die or anything. but it can be a little shocking if you don't know it's coming.

Aside from switching his wardrobe for a purple, Haunter-fied version of Vriska's original get up, John doesn't really look much different than the last time Vriska would have seen him. It's almost hard to believe it's really been two years for him. On one shoulder sits a shiny Litwick, while a Lampent bobs next to his head, staring at the screen intently.]

Hey, Minifang! It's nice to meet you. You're not driving Mama Vriska too crazy yet, are you?

[Oh no cutie spider. SO TINY TOO CUTE CAN'T DEAL.]

[Oh man, other pokemon. The spider bristles up, chirring tiks at the screen and turning on her trainer's palm to face the Litwick, then the Lampent. It's meant to be aggressive and challenging and awesome, but it's probably just adorable. She even waves her little front legs around--]

[--until Vriska taps a finger to her back.]

They're not even close to here, stupid. If you want to challenge them it will have to happen way later. You aren't even leveled. What are you going to do, spark at them until they give up?

[Minifang gives a jol, a bit sulky. So she was excited! Gosh. An almost polite joltik, jol follows to John, while Vriska looks back at him.]

John, I'm not her "mama" or anything like it. I'm her trainer! I cannot even fathom the act of being a human mother. Much less to a spider.

[Yup. Definitely adorable. The Lampent gives the closest approximation to a ghostly giggle, waving her curly arms at Minifang in return. The Litwick remains silent, looking back and forth between the screen and his evolved companion. It's okay, Minifang. He's not very leveled yet either, he would totally play with you if you and your master were closer.]

Hehe, you'd be surprised how some of them may end up viewing you. And hey, at least spiders can't talk back like kids can. Anyway, this is Chandel [A gesture to the Lampent.] and Earl Grey [And to the Litwick.]

They are a Lampent and Litwick, respectively. Though Earl Grey is what they call a shiny. Typically Litwicks have purple flames and gold eyes instead of blue flames and yellow eyes.
