[After some fussing, Eridan decides that maybe video would be the best option, especially with what he has to say! So hello Johto--and Kanto, certainly hope you were ready for a screen full of Eridan’s face, and the exaggerated expression of disdain that accompanies it. There might even a bit of a pout with it! But it certainly is him for those who are familiar, black hair, pretentious purple streak, just pinkish skin instead of grey, no zigzag horns, and certainly no fins! How dreadful!]
You know, I was pretty alright where I was, sure bein’ sawed in half was hardly my ideal way to go, but I could deal with bein’ dead. Kinda got used to it after the first--fuck, I don’t ewen KNOW how long.
[He pulls the ‘gear back to let the network get a niiiice look at him.]

[That drawn out shout comes from somewhere out of view, but the girl responsible can soon be heard jogging over.]

[She ducks into view, peering at his Pokegear like it's hers to look at. Those who know Vriska might notice she's missing her glasses.]

[He’s certain surprised by her coming over, but then she’s putting her face all in HIS space and getting in his way! In the next moment, he’s definitely trying to push her away, palm meeting her face and shoving!]

well to be honest i wouldn't really be shortcutting you much by doing that.
see, you have a couple of options available to you!
you figured it out from your map i'm sure, but you can head to cherrygrove from where you are and take the johto gym challenge in all the cities following. orrr you can hop a ferry that will take you over to kanto.
and pewter city has the first kanto badge. so really all i'd be doing is saving you some legwork. you know, if you wanted to do kanto first.
i just thought you might want to travel with us instead of by yourself. that's all.
trust me, i wasn't doubting your abilities for a second.
but if you do want to do johto first, that's fine! nothing wrong with that.
though i do have something that technically belongs to you, if you want him back.
if nothing else, he can help you get away from eridan. because if i had to guess...you got a spider as your starter again, yes?

1. the ferry ride itself is three days. and from pallet to pewter would take a few hours by air.
2. rose, dave, jade, dave's bro, rose's mom, valeria, karkat, vanitas, terezi, gamzee... oh wait. well even if he's with us, karkat is too so it should be fine.
3. "he" is hunter, a luxray. he's a big electric lion that can see through things. i figured you might say something like that, so i didn't train him much at all while you were gone. he really likes to battle though, so he did gain a few levels in my care.
4. well you can always put her back in her ball or try luring her out with food. some pokemon are just attracted to making homes in their trainer's hair though so chances are she's going to keep doing that unless you teach her otherwise.
and that depends on which spider you have.
joltik is really tiny, but spinarak is bigger than your average earth spider. and both of them grow much bigger after they evolve.

It turns out our personalities are COMPLETELY incompati8le. We were just one awful mass of dispar8 tr8s and thoughts, h8ing each other and ourself, with no clue which thought came from what part.
It was like having your think pan try to tear itself apart, which it literally did only a few minutes later.
Or, technically, it exploded.
Then I woke up in that hive with that deluded woman who called herself my mother? I'm going to guess you don't know what's up with that either.
